Brian Madderson, Chairman of the Car Wash Association (CWA), has welcomed the Government initiative, announced by the Prime Minister to reporters on his flight returning from the G20 Summit, that Rachel Reeves would be detailing plans for the Fair Work Agency (FWA) when established next Spring.

Commenting on HM Revenues & Customs (HMRC) doubling the number of its staff trained in tax evasion, Gordon Balmer, Executive Director of the Car Wash Association (CWA), said: "Whilst it is encouraging that HMRC has increased resources to tackle tax evasion by doubling the number of staff trained in surveillance, it is vital that these resources are focused on the worst offenders."

“As the UK experiences warmer weather and water companies respond with hosepipe bans to cope with demand in the absence of rainfall, authorities need to crack down on non-compliant hand car washes that continue to operate unlawfully” said Brian Madderson, Chairman of the Car Wash Association (CWA).
