Gordon Balmer appointed as Executive Director at the Petrol Retailers and Car Wash Associations

The Petrol Retailers Association (PRA) and Car Wash Association (CWA) have announced that Gordon Balmer has been appointed as their Executive Director and Retail Motor Industry (RMI) Board member. He joined the PRA in 2014 and has served as its Commercial Manager. 

Gordon has extensive experience in the fuel industry. He worked for BP for 30 years in a wide range of areas. He has worked in commercial fuel sales, international project management, UK Fuel Card Manager and UK Country Manager in European Fleet Services.

Peter Johnson, RMI Chairman, commented: “I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Gordon Balmer on his new role and welcome him onto the RMI Board”.

Gordon added: “I am delighted to be appointed to the role of Executive Director and look forward to representing the PRA and CWA as the industry transitions towards low carbon transportation and an increased focus on convenience retail”.
